An SEO & Marketing Intern is responsible for planning and implementing SEO, marketing and advertising activities. This role requires understanding the extensive details of marketing. A person in this position should be familiar with ways to analyze market research and customers’ behavior. Interns help collect data, forecast trends and assess customer satisfaction.

Objectives of this Role

  • Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the industry, company, or target audience at hand
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trends
  • Stay updated on best SEO practices and brand voice for consistency in messaging

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brands
  • Research and understand the client’s needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, and software tools
  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of Amazon marketing and communications materials
  • Collaborate with a team of account managers and creative staff from concept development to delivery of final product
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal team, and to client representative as needed, and participate in client pitches on occasion
  • Revise copy based on SEO guidelines as well as internal and client feedback/direction
  • Effectively manage daily administrative tasks
  • Prepare reports on marketing and sales metrics
  • Collect and analyze consumer behavior data (e.g. traffic and rankings)
  • Conduct market research and identify new opportunities
  • Coordinate with the Creative Team to generate digital and print advertising material
  • Collaborate and meet with clients to go over strategy, content, and brand analysis
  • Contribute to collaborative efforts and organize promotional events
  • Monitor and report competitors’ marketing and sales activities
  • Take inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs
  • Stay on top of accounts, making sure they’re receiving services that are within their budget and meeting their needs
  • Meet regularly with other members of the team to discuss progress and find new ways to improve service
  • Generate progress reports to give to clients and higher-ups within the organization

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office
  • 1-2 years experience in marketing or related field
  • Posses search engine, web analytics, and business research tools acumen
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge with CRM programs
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Excel, web analytics and Google Adwords
  • Proficiency with SEO/SEM campaigns
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
